The Baron is the ceremonial representative of the Crown within the barony. They act as liaison and voice between the Crown and the Barony, working with our officers to maintain peace within the territory of Grey Niche.

I am Ulrich von Rothenburg and I discovered the SCA in 1991. I am a 15th century German mercenary that also does merchanting on the side. I am from the town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, in Franconia, Germany. I am interested in all things medieval and always trying to learn new things. I am active in heavy fighting, thrown weapons, archery, woodworking, and armoring. My next adventure is trying to learn the art of making stained glass.
I started in the SCA in the Barony of Tir-y-don, Kingdom of Atlantia. I have lived in the Kingdoms of Atlantia, East, Gleann Abhann, West and Drachenwald. I have been recognized with an Award of Arms, Grant of Arms and a recipient of Drachenwald’s award for Popular Company of Sojourners.
