BARONIAL POLLING TO BE HELD
Greetings and Salutations to the Populous of Grey Niche!
The time has come to open the polling for Baronet of Grey Niche. Starting Tuesday, February 7, 2023 and ending Monday, February 20, 2023 – Letters of Intent will be accepted for the Baronet of Grey Niche.
Letters of Intent to fill the seat(s) of the Baronet should include:
1. The mundane and sca names of those individuals interested
2. The length of time each has been playing in the SCA
3. Previous offices held and with which groups
4. Thoughts and ideas for directions of growth and progress for the group
Interested individuals will need to be current, paid members of the SCA and members of the Barony of Grey Niche. The Baronial Seats are open to all members of the populace in good standing and all interested parties will be required to submit Letters of Intent regardless of current position, title, office, or incumbency or lack thereof. (IE – current or past Baron/Baroness must still submit a letter)
Letters will be accepted by the Kingdom Seneschal (Mistress Kendra Dey) via the following methods:

3. OR in person through arranged meeting via personal contact
Upon completion of this collection process on Monday, February 20, 2023, the list of candidates will be reviewed by the Kingdom Seneschal and the sitting Crowns (to verify membership and good standing) and then announced to the populace on both the website (greyniche.net) and on the Official FB page for the barony (Barony of Grey Niche).
A town hall style meeting will be announced on the website and FB page to be held at a location and date TBD by the Kingdom Seneschal, who will be present as a neutral 3rd party. Candidates who have been notified of being accepted will be asked to attend to present themselves to the populace of the Barony for a Q&A session.In person polling will be conducted at the end of this town hall. Polling ballots can also be submitted to the Kingdom Seneschal using the same methods as listed above for letters of intent. Polling will remain open for a period of no longer than 2 weeks after the date of the town hall. Mailed ballots will need to be post marked accordingly.
After the polling ballots have been received, they will be submitted to the Crown by the Kingdom Seneschal. After review and proper notification to the candidates has been concluded, the Kingdom Seneschal will work with Local Seneschal for any officer changeover, should the incoming Baronet hold current offices. The public announcements will be made after the Crown has given approval to release names of the new Baronet.
