WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
The Barony is active in many different ways throughout the month. Find us at any of the below activities and let us introduce you to the Society for Creative Anachronism.
Meetings & Classes
Business Meetings (Hybrid)
To facilitate the business of the Barony, we hold meetings twice a month, the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 6:00 pm. We are making every effort to find a more accessible meeting space that will also allow Zoom conferencing for those who cannot attend in person. Please check the calendar or our Facebook page for updates on our next meeting location.
Arts & Science Classes
As an educational organization, we foster the study of the period crafts, skills and technologies that were a part of daily life in pre-16th century cultures. Please check the calendar or our Facebook page for details on upcoming classes.
Martial Activities
Fighter & Fencing Practice
Whether you are interested in “heavy” combat, rapier, archery, or thrown weapons, we have local practices you can attend. We currently meet weekly on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 pm in Audobon Park for fighter and rapier practice. We hope to have our traditional corner at Southern & Goodlett back soon. Be sure to check the calendar or our Facebook page, for exact locations.
Archery and Thrown Weapons practices will be coming soon! So, stay tuned!
Demos & Community
Local Demos
We are often asked to participate in demos within the community. Our local Barony has made appearances at The Orpheum, Earth Days at Shelby Farms, numerous elementary schools, libraries, and many other opportunities. Visit the calendar or our Facebook page for a listing of the current demos we will be participating in.
Have a demo you’d like us to consider for your class, group, or organization? Contact our Seneschal from the Officers page.
