Patrick of Isstarr, known mundanely as Patrick Hecht, lived in Memphis and was the founder of the group. While attending Georgia Tech, he played in South Downs. By some devine intervention, Patrick was put in contact with John Fulton who was a member of the Memphis State Comic’s Club. John and the five other members of the Comic’s Club thought trying the SCA might be fun. There was a party/mini event at Patrick’s parents house in the Fall of 1974. Patrick had invited some South Down folks to come. Soon, the Memphis Six went to Red Tower and everyone was hooked.
